Two meanings of "zone"
In Limo Anywhere, a zone is part of its Fixed Rates and Zones setup. Each zone has a code and a description, and you add the cities and ZIP codes it covers. Airports are set up as zones too, using the FAA airport code as the zone code. You then set a flat rate from one zone to another for each vehicle type, and a reservation between those zones is priced from that table.
In GroundZones, a zone is the answer to a different question: which pricing zone does each hotel in this file belong to? That answer is what a hotel association file records, and it is what partners such as Expedia receive from their ground transportation suppliers.
Where the hotel file fits
Dispatch software prices trips. It is not where a file of several thousand hotels gets zoned. Limo Anywhere's help docs describe importing accounts, affiliates, points of interest, zones and fixed rates by filling in spreadsheets for its support team, which schedules uploads overnight and asks you to allow 3 to 5 business days, or 7 to 10 for very large or messy files. They do not describe working out a zone for each hotel in a list and exporting the result.
That is the job GroundZones does. Upload the file, set the airport by IATA code, and every hotel is placed on a map with its driving distance and time from the terminal. Zone it with rules and by box-selecting on the map, then export it in its original columns.
Moovs and other dispatch tools work the same way
Moovs, another reservation and dispatch platform, builds zones from ZIP codes, from a dropped pin with an adjustable capture area, or from polygons drawn on the map, with up to 10 polygons per zone and 25 vertices per polygon. Rates are set on the routes between zones. Its plans start at $149 a month for Standard and $199 for Pro, with a $299 setup fee. As with Limo Anywhere, the zones price bookings; they do not zone a hotel file.
Using both
The two fit side by side. Keep your dispatch system for reservations, drivers and payments. Use GroundZones to zone the hotel files your partners ask for, and to see on a map where your zone boundaries fall before you commit them anywhere. GroundZones does not connect to Limo Anywhere or Moovs; the link between them is the file you export.

Choose GroundZones if
- You need to zone a hotel file for Expedia or another partner
- Zones depend on driving distance from the terminal, not only on ZIP codes
- You want to see every hotel on a map before the file goes out
